apparently we're talking about the git primary branch name again because culture war bullshit again i think. it was a meaningless performative change to begin with and continues to be a meaningless performative change back (you can judge for yourself what the performance is this time around)

but for god's sake i haven't given a shit about this change in ~4 years and now suddenly we're creating "operating systems" where we override the git cli default back to master because idfk this is what we as engineers spend real time on

so, given that the impetus is to rewind any sort of cultural change of the past ~10 years, you think lenna will eventually reach their sightlines

for those who don't know lenna was a test picture used for image processing - it was cut from a nude picture in playboy. this made women feel uncomfortable, because, you know, men sexualising them everywhere and that

so, over the last decade or so, active campaigning, including a documentary, has led to lenna being widely disused. as the model, lena forsen put it:
